Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to AAFT. If the notification is not received by AAFT, the cancellation is deemed to have been not notified
Cancellations made more than thirty (30) days prior to the conference date will be refunded less 15% of the registration fee to cover administration costs. No registration refunds will be made after this date; however you may nominate a replacement delegate at no charge.
No refunds whatsoever are available in the event a delegate registers but fails to attend the conference. The same conditions apply to tickets purchased for social events. Refunds of accommodation deposits are at the discretion of the accommodation venue.
To be eligible for the Student rate, delegates must be currently enrolled in a FULL TIME course, proof of enrolment may be requested by the AAFT administration staff.
Payment of fees
All registration fees are payable in advance of the conference and entry to the conference may be denied if the registration fees (or a portion thereof) are unpaid prior to commencement of the conference.
Public Liability Insurance
Australian Association of Family Therapists, Australian Conference & Event Organiser and Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns will not be held accountable or liable for any damage, loss, harm or injury to any person or any property of the conference/event/exhibition however caused.
Security and insurance
Australian Association of Family Therapists, Australian Conference & Event Organiser and the Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns will provide reasonable security during the conference, however neither the organisers, nor the venue, nor any of their staff, employees, agents or other representatives shall be held accountable, responsible or liable for, and the same are released from accountability, responsibility or liability, for any damage, loss, harm or injury however caused to persons or property associated with the conference.
Loss and injury
All conference participants are advised to affect their own insurance to cover all risks including (but not limited to) costs of travel, accommodation, conference fees, personal property, health and medical expenses, injury, death and all other risks. The conference, host organisation and organisers will not be held liable for any claims under any circumstances.
Visa and quarantine
Delegates travelling from overseas may be required to obtain a visa before travelling to Australia. You should apply for your visa not less than two months prior to your departure. Failure to obtain a visa will not be accepted as grounds for refund of any fees or other costs paid to the conference. Australia has strict quarantine regulations that are enforced at all international airports and other points of entry into Australia.
