“Sculpting is simply a means of formalizing and making concrete the repeated transactional patterns which constitute family structure.” (Jeff Hearn and Marilyn Lawrence). It typically involves the formation of a ‘living sculpture’ as directed by one of the members (either family member or supervisee/trainee) under the general direction of the therapist. This presentation will be interactive and experiential.
Anne has many years of experience in Clinical Social Work Practice and Family Therapy in government, non-government agencies and private practice. She was a member of the Training team at William Street Family Therapy Centre for many years and now provides training and Supervision in government and non-government agencies. Anne is currently the WA State Representative for the WA Branch of the Australian Association of Family Therapy. She is passionate about working with families and implementing family sensitive practice for Clinical teams to increase the confidence of other professionals in their practice and creating positive change for the families they work with.
