The ANZJFT Journal Award was established in 1994, and is presented at the Annual AAFT conference to an individual or group who has made a distinguished contribution to Family Therapy in Australia. An honour roll of all previous recipients is on the ANZJFT website.
The 2018 recipient was Jenny Brown, for her long-standing commitment to family therapy practice, publication and training, with a particular zeal for making Bowen Family Systems theory accessible and useful across a multiplicity of therapeutic domains.
We are currently calling for nominations for the 2019 award.
The contribution can take the form of an exceptional contribution in a particular domain or prominence across several activities, including:
– Development of key services
– Teaching/development of training programs
– Research and scholarly publications
– Contributions to key family therapy organisations
– Representation of family therapy concerns in the wider community
