D-ISTANCES Generational Impacts of Displacement and Resettlement Conference is scheduled for 9-10 September 2021 at the University Club of Western Australia, Perth.

 

The pre-conference and post-conference workshops will be on Wednesday 8 and Saturday, 11 September.

Conference Theme

Australia is an ancient country for First Nation People and a new country for people who have come from other lands and for varied reasons have made Australia their home.

The 2021 Australian Association of Family Therapy Conference, offers an opportunity for family therapists, psychologists, social workers, counsellors, youth workers, chaplains and community workers to come together and share knowledge and practices skills about ways of working side-by-side with people’s pain and people’s ability to rebound from life’s adversities.

D__ISTANCES, Displacement and Resettlement also refers to people’s experiences of inclusion and exclusion in a multitude of social, cultural and familial contexts.  The Conference theme refers to peoples’ experiences of inequality, and our professional responsibility and accountability to ethical human relations, and to acts of equity and social justice.
